All of them stay on final prints except the brickwall limiter.
I have a few things on my master buss doing very little. And who wants to master while you worried about your mix?!? Mastering while in the mix will not bring a cohesive end product if all not in referenced to another. When do you think a mix is "done" in your opinion? And how do you know what will translate well to the mastering engineer?I am def not self mastering before sending to the ME. Are you leaving headroom these days? Or are you "Self Mastering" as good as you can and handing it off to the mastering engineer? Like how complete is the mix is there bus compression / limiting or none at all before handing it off. When you send a mix for mastering, like for this album. Last question, sorry for asking so many questions. Very interesting to me i would have sworn it was all one engineer.
GOOD MIXING + GOOD MASTERING = GOOD END PRODUCT HAHA, BUT YES HE LISTENS AND GIVES LOOSE NON TECHNICAL FEEDBACK. Or are moneybaggs people checking mixes and giving input? However, lately blends right in with the rest of the album, i wouldnt have been able to tell someone else mixed it. Vent sounds a little different than all the other mixes, and its undertstandable because you are two different engineers. IF THERE IS A RUFF MIX OR ANOTHER MIXERS MIX I A/B IT AFTER I GOT MY VIBE & I FEEL ITS ABOUT 90% THERE. NOT USUALLY, I MIX THE WAY I FEEL THE SONG SHOULD BE. When you guys mix tracks for an album, do you listen to each others mixes so the mixes work together?
